Procurement & Stock Control Specialist

My client, a leading manufacturer based in Millstreet, Co. Cork is in need of a Procurement and Stock Control Specialist to join their Supply Chain team. The responsibilities for the Procurement and Stock Control Specialist include : Creating and tracking purchase orders, resolving non-conformance, and managing shipments. Collaborating with Sales & Operations to proactively prevent stock-outs. Analysing supply and demand to forecast inventory needs and avoid shortages or excess. Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels against agreed targets. Ensuring strict compliance with purchasing and stock control SOPs. Acting as the go-to point of contact for purchasing and stock control queries. Supporting colleagues with workload balance and providing holiday / sickness cover when needed. Partnering with warehouse teams to ensure smooth stock-taking with minimal disruption. Investigating and resolving supply chain issues such as shortages, discrepancies, and overstock. Producing regular reports and insights to drive improvement. Participating in continuous improvement projects across Operations and Supply Chain. Conducting inventory audits and maintaining accurate stock records. Updating inventory management systems accurately and efficiently. The requirements for the desired Procurement and Stock Control Specialist include : 3+ years' experience in procurement, stock control, supply chain, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel ability (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and with vendors. A proactive problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
