Warehouse Operative

Position Summary The Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely movement, storage, and dispatch of goods within the warehouse. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and effective management of pick lists and inventory. The position supports daily warehouse operations to meet company standards for safety, accuracy, and productivity. Key Areas of Responsibility 1. Receiving Goods Unload deliveries and verify items against purchase orders. Ensure proper storage of received goods in designated areas. 2. Managing Pick Lists Organize and prioritize pick lists efficiently. Ensure all products are selected accurately and on time per order specifications. 3. Picking and Packing Accurately pick and pack customer orders. Ensure all items are securely packed, correctly labeled, and ready for dispatch. 4. Inventory Control Participate in regular stocktaking and inventory checks. Identify and report discrepancies. Maintain accurate stock records in line with company procedures. 5. Compliance with SOPs Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and guidelines. Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards throughout warehouse operations. 6. Goods Storage Store goods in designated locations to optimize warehouse space. Maintain clear labeling and accessibility for efficient retrieval. 7. Order Dispatch Prepare and dispatch orders promptly. Ensure all necessary documentation (e.g., shipping labels, packing slips) is complete and accurate. 8. Equipment Operation Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and related machinery (training provided). 9. Health and Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Follow all health and safety regulations and report any unsafe conditions. 10. Team Collaboration Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily and weekly objectives. Support a positive and productive work environment. 11. Warehouse Maintenance Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from clutter. Handle waste disposal and assist in general cleaning duties. 12. Deliveries Between Warehouses Perform scheduled deliveries between company sites. Ensure accurate and timely transfer of inventory materials while following all SOPs, GMP guidelines, and safety protocols. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Attention to Detail : Ability to follow instructions precisely and ensure order accuracy. Physical Stamina : Capable of lifting and moving heavy items for extended periods. Teamwork : Works effectively within a team to meet operational goals. Health & Safety Knowledge : Understands and applies safety practices in a warehouse environment. Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication for labeling, reporting, and team collaboration. Problem-Solving : Able to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively. Driver's License : Valid Class B license required for company vehicle operations.
