We are looking for a strong man manager to support over 100 colleagues in the store. A leader who can motivate and drive standards in a busy shop with an annual turnover of 20 million, through effective communication, strong organisation and an eye for detail. To be effective in this senior manager's role, you should be a passionate grocery or food retail, a manager who loves shop standards, must have strong negotiating skills with suppliers and reps to get the best prices, drive margin and also passionate about merchandising high quality fresh foods and someone who thrives in a big store environment. The salary will vary DOE, a year salary, bonus, including staff discount. Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job : Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets Provide high level of customer service Ensure you and the team abide by all company policies and procedures Manage stock and cash control procedures investigate and report when variances occur Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising, sales promotion, and display plans. Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable. Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff, in conjunction with the HR department. Organizing special promotions, displays and events. Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies. Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job : 3+ years of retail management experience, ideally within an environment with fresh foods. Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. The ability to work in high-pressure situations. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence. A strong work ethic.
