Morgan McKinleyDublin, Leinster, Republic of IrelandMorgan McKinley is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Programme Director to lead a high-impact programme for our client, a prominent employer in Ireland. This is a unique opportunity to drive strategic initiatives and influence key infrastructure projects in Ireland. Reporting to C Suite Level In this role you will be supporting the portfolio, programme, and project managers to deliver the projects within the defined portfolio in line with the agreed KPIs. Assisting the business stakeholders to define roadmaps of strategic projects. Imparting best practise project management standards and knowledge to other PMO team members through leadership, guidance, and motivation. Provide management direction and leadership regarding scope, value, approach, resourcing, organisational change, methodologies and maintaining and developing standards in project governance. Working within a multi-functional environment along with various external PMO's to deliver a range of services, including : Key Responsibilities : Programme Leadership : Oversee the successful delivery of large-scale technical Programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets. Stakeholder Management : Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to foster strong working relationships and achieve programme goals. Strategic Planning : Develop and implement comprehensive programme plans, identifying key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution. Team Development : Lead and mentor a team of project managers and technical experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Budget Management : Oversee the programme budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial accountability. Reporting : Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Key Requirements and Proven Experience : A minimum of 8 years of experience in programme management at a director level, with a strong background in the transport sector or a related field. Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strategic Thinking : Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable plans. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Project Management Certification : PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is desirable. Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies essential Educational Background : A relevant third level qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.
