Head of Cyber Security EMEA

What does a successful Head of Cyber Security do?

As a Head of Cyber Security for EMEA, you will have the exciting opportunity to interact directly with senior executives while spearheading the execution of our global cybersecurity programme. Your primary responsibilities will include leading a team, engaging with key business stakeholders and technology experts, and ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of cutting-edge cybersecurity products and services. As a key driver of our organisation's cybersecurity efforts, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our operations and protecting our customers' data against evolving threats.

What will you do?

  • Support activities to ensure that risk and controls comply with regulatory requirements and remain in line with the firm’s risk appetite.
  • Drive security awareness and adoption across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse relevant data for metric reporting, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Leverage metrics to drive continuous improvement and enhance the effectiveness of the cybersecurity programme in the region.
  • Provide expertise and knowledge of current industry trends in technology and cybersecurity risk standards to improve the security posture across the company.

What you will need to have

  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire team members, driving them towards programme goals and objectives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate programme updates, progress, and challenges to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Strong listening skills to understand the concerns and questions of senior executives and provide them with appropriate explanations and solutions.
  • Ability to navigate and overcome challenges and obstacles that may arise during programme execution, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in delivering presentations and briefings to senior executives, demonstrating the ability to simplify complex information for a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to adapt and pivot strategies and plans as needed to address changing priorities or emerging cybersecurity threats.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure programme initiatives meet compliance standards.
