We are looking for a Project Engineer in the South-East of Ireland, with 5 to 6 year's experience in delivering engineering projects and project management. In support of ESB's strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity and building resilient infrastructure, you will work with the team in successful delivery of a programme of projects for the ESB Networks business. Key Responsibilities Support the project manager(s) in the successful delivery of the projects in their totality in compliance with all safety standards Management of project interfaces such as procurement (including tender negotiations), design, free issue material, power cables, telecoms etc Support Design and Engineering teams with inspections of plant and materials and works on site, to ensure technical specifications are met and monitor progress against the contract. At certain stages of progress of works more frequent attendance on site may be a requirement. Contractor engagement including the monitoring of contractor progress and validation of progress payments, providing monthly progress reports and managing schedules Preparation / coordination of technical schedules, price schedules and other documents required to complete packs of enquiry documents, against which tenderers will submit proposals. Experience and Qualifications Essential Five or more years' experience. A proven track record in delivering engineering projects and project management. Experience of dealing with construction contractors to ensure that they deliver to specified requirements. Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential Good knowledge of the PSDP / CDMC and PSCS processes. Competent understanding of key elements of construction management. Hold a full driving license and have access to a car. General This position will work on projects in the South-East of Ireland.
