Head of Risk

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Head of Risk to oversee the risk function for an insurance business in Dublin.

The Head of Risk will lead a team and provide second-line oversight of both strategic and operational risks, including complex life and non-life reinsurance transactions.

This role offers direct engagement with senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence key business decisions, present to risk committees, and support the Chief Risk Officer of the regulated Irish entity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide second-line risk oversight for reinsurance transactions and strategic decisions.
• Lead operational risk oversight across the business.
• Support regulatory risk reporting, budgeting, and committee presentations.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing risk team.
• Collaborate closely with senior leaders across risk, actuarial, and business development teams.
