Our team of currently 15 Integrations Engineersare all based in Dublinand are looking after SMB merchants on the EMEA market.We are a highly collaborative, motivated and curious team and supporting each other is a daily priority for us.
Your way to impact
As a successful candidate, you will mainly support merchants on the Spanish / French and / or German market. As an SMB Integrations Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for web developers who are integrating any of the PayPal website payments solutions into e-commerce websites and other applications.
Your day-to-day
You will be the primary technical point of contact throughout the integration lifecycle, overseeing allimplementation-relatedactivities for the merchant. As the technical lead, you will drive discussions, run presentations, facilitate demos, and provide sample integrations supporting the sales process.
Demonstrating a clear understanding of the merchant’s product, process, and technical requirements in payment processing is crucial. You'll match these needs with existing PayPal solutions and assist merchants in setting up test accounts, offering technical development support, and guiding them through testing, validation, certification, pre-launch activities, and post-sales performance.
Collaborating with the core project team, including pre-sale with the commercial / sales manager and post-sale with the technical account manager, you'll also work with internal PayPal business partners (legal, compliance, privacy, risk, operations, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of partner solution integration. It's essential to implement optimal integration strategies with high quality, utilizing PayPal’s best practices. Additionally, you'll provide recommendations on support issues, act as the "Voice of the Customer," and relay constructive feedback to core Product, Engineering, and other internal groups.
What do you need to bring
Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful API, Frameworks, etc.)
Expertise in at least one of the server-side languages (PHP, Python, .Net, Node.js, etc.) and ability to read / understand others.
Exposure to some of the server and database technologies (Apache, Nginx, ISS, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Ability to influenceand successfully interact with all levels of clients and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, independent learner with a thirst for knowledge, proactive and customer-focused, and a leader who is passionate about creating delightful experiences for our partners.
Fluent in a English and a second language (Spanish / French and German) for both written and verbal business communication.
Below experiences are a bonus :
Experience as an integration engineer, sales engineer, or technical consultant.
Understanding of online payment processing across web, mobile app, and in-store.
Ideal candidate will have experience in working with enterprise organisations - preferably retailers, e-commerce, shopping carts and payment gateways.
