Type : hybrid full-time Location : 8 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 Policy & Research Officer The Policy & Research Officer is a new position within the RIAI Practice and Member Services department. The successful candidate is expected to bring their expertise to the development of the RIAIs position papers across a broad range of work programmes in practice, education and climate change. Working as part of a small and highly focused team, and reporting to the Practice Director, the Policy & Research Officer will undertake policy-relevant research and be responsible for developing policy positions and campaigns, reviewing legislation, guidance and regulatory standards, trends and sectoral data in support of the RIAI values, goals, and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Practice Director, CEO, senior management team and committees to : support the development and delivery of research and policy priorities in line with RIAIs strategic and business plan; manage and drive research and policy across a broad range of RIAI interests; and build high level, collaborative and impactful relationships with committees, key stakeholders The Policy & Research Officer must take responsibility for a project and have the ability to proactively research, co-ordinate and manage the drafting and production of a report within tight deadlines. Essential Requirements The successful candidates will have : A relevant qualification with a significant policy component; High-level analytical ability, with experience of critically evaluating policy and / or advising on policy options; Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with an ability to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders; Excellent English, spoken & written A right to work in Ireland and be resident for interviews (valid permit if applicable).
