We are recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial law firm in Dublin 4, consistently recognised as "Top Tier" across a range of sectors. My client has experienced continuous growth over the last decade and is now expanding their Corporate / Commercial Department. This presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Company Secretary to join a small, well-run, and dynamic team that is in growth mode. This 12-month contract role offers genuine scope for long-term engagement, with a review at 6 months for potential permanency. The Role : This is a highly specialised role focused on corporate governance and compliance, distinct from administrative secretarial positions. As a Company Secretary, you will work closely within the corporate team, enforcing the minutes and memoranda of company boards, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities : Prepare and file statutory and corporate compliance documents (annual returns, resolutions, minutes). Manage a large volume of client companies, ensuring annual compliance and statutory filing obligations. Advise on company law queries (Companies Act 2014 & 2006 UK) for internal and external clients. Stay updated on legal developments and advise clients promptly. Assist in growing the company secretarial unit, demonstrating high client service. Manage company incorporations, dissolutions, board / shareholder changes, and restructurings. Handle Register of Beneficial Ownership filing and upkeep, and maintain Statutory Registers. Draft board and general meeting minutes and related documentation. Liaise with auditors, accountants, and financial services providers. Candidate Profile : We are seeking an individual with company secretarial experience, ideally with 1-3 years in a dedicated role. While experience from a law or accountancy firm is preferred, my client is open to a variety of backgrounds. Very high level of attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills. Experience and ability to deal with a large volume of clients and work, and the ability to switch priorities depending on client needs / deadlines. Ability to manage and prioritise workload to comply with filing deadlines. Ambition and drive to work within and contribute to a growing unit. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across different departments / external stakeholders and communicate in a professional manner at all levels within the firm. Chartered Governance Institute (ICSA) qualified or part-qualified is desirable but not essential. Why Join My Client?
