Location : Dublin (Hybrid) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Manager to lead and manage the delivery, optimization and operational excellence of the cloud infrastructure that supports a number of platforms in the Global Payments ecosystem.
This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of cloud services, ensuring high availability, scalability and security & compliance while also driving innovation and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading infrastructure teams that support mission critical services.
Key Responsibilities Leadership Lead and manage teams across a number disciplines (Infrastructure, Database, Networks)
Coordinates key operational and project workload for the team ensuring timely completion in a progressive manner that biases lean approaches and continuous improvement
Infrastructure & Operations Management Oversees key operational processes such as Vulnerability & Patch Management
Manage capacity planning, cost optimization and performance tuning of cloud resources
Build strong relationship with Platform Engineering team, enhancing handover processes to ensure smooth transition to operations team members
Lead incident response and subsequent root cause analysis for infrastructure related issues
Manage the migration of platforms to the managed cloud environment; collaborating with solution owners to ensure smooth transition
Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery plans that match the appropriate Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) for each service.
Ensure regular tests of associated plans
Who You Are At least 5+ years of experience in a managerial role
Computer Science or similar third-level qualification
Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
Experience in Cloud or hybrid cloud environments would be preferred
A drive to proactively identify and implement improvements in how we work
Experience with working in a PCI compliant environment
