Senior / Site Engineer Healthcare Project | Waterford Location : Waterford, Ireland Job Type : Full-Time | Permanent Sector : Construction / Healthcare Salary : Competitive, DOE + Benefits Are you an experienced Site or Senior Engineer ready to take on a leading role in a high-profile healthcare construction project in Waterford? We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team and help deliver a state-of-the-art healthcare facility to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. About the Role : As the Senior / Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring technical accuracy and supporting project delivery through all phases of construction. You will report to the Project Manager and work closely with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives. Key Responsibilities : Oversee site engineering activities including setting out, quality control, and health & safety compliance Interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate construction in line with specifications Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to ensure seamless execution of works Manage and maintain site documentation (RFI logs, as-builts, method statements, etc.) Liaise with the design team to resolve technical queries and implement design changes Ensure works are completed to a high standard and within required timeframes Support the Project Manager in tracking progress and preparing site reports Requirements : Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Minimum 5+ years experience in site engineering, ideally with healthcare, hospital, or similar complex builds Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and construction best practices Proficient in setting out, surveying equipment, AutoCAD and relevant software tools Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Safe Pass, Manual Handling & relevant CSCS certifications (or ability to obtain) What We Offer : Opportunity to work on a landmark healthcare project with long-term career prospects Supportive and professional team environment Continuous professional development and training opportunities Competitive salary, vehicle allowance, pension, and additional benefits
