Project Engineer

About the Role : EPS Group has an immediate vacancy for a Project Engineer for our Minor Contracting division based from our Naas office.As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for the engineering activities on municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants and various pumping stations, across our contracts in Munster.No two days will be the same, so your activities will vary and will be agreed with the Contracts Manager on an ongoing basis.

You will support the design team through the process up to and including the onsite installation and commissioning.A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.Key Responsibilities : Project management of all aspects of water and wastewater pumping and treatment installations primarily focused on Mechanical / Electrical / ICA requirements with minor civil works includedCo-ordinating safety and liaising with our HSQE departmentSupporting the design team in delivering innovative solutions & using modern technologiesProcurement of all items required for project deliveryCreating project program and ensuring that all required project interfaces are allowed for, from design to final site commissioning & handoverLiaising & coordinating all works with the client and relevant stakeholdersManagement of all site labour including subcontractorsEnsuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.Writing engineering reports, method statements and commissioning schedulesResponsible for all O&M and Health & Safety documentation and enforcement of safe work practices onsite during all site installationsKey Competencies and Skills : Proficiency in PC skillsExcellent inter-personal skills and communication skillsStrong engineering analytical and problem solving skillsStrong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environmentHave a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and waste water IndustryHave proven experience in an engineering role in a Mechanical & Electrical environmentExperience in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted scheduleOrganise and plan technical meetings with clients and Consulting EngineersDevelop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlinesProject management / Site management / M&E Installation, Personnel management and any Water & / or Waste Water industry experience will be an advantageQualifications : Third level Mechanical Engineering degreeSimilar relevant third level qualification and experience will be consideredFull EU / Irish driving licenceAll levels of experience consideredCompensation Package : Competitive salary and benefits packageRobust graduate programmeOpportunities for professional development and career growthCPD accredited employerA collaborative and supportive work environmentLaptop or desktop and work mobile phone providedFlexible working options, dependent on location and role requirementsSee company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS Group We welcome speculative applications from individuals of all levels.If you are interested in working with us but are not sure if the role above is for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal discussion about what we do and what you could bring to the team.
