Production Shift Manager Longford What you need to know A progressive manufacturer with ambitious growth plans is seeking a Production Shift Manager to join its dynamic team in Longford.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will take ownership of one full production shift, leading a team of three Supervisors and their teams.

Shift pattern : Rotating shifts : 1 week of days (06 : 45 15 : 00) followed by 1 week of evenings (15 : 00 23 : 15).

Your new job As Production Shift Manager, you will : Lead and manage a production shift with the support of 3 Supervisors.

Oversee daily operations to deliver on output, quality, and safety targets.

Plan and coordinate shift schedules in line with production demands.

Drive lean principles to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all H&S requirements.

Develop strong working relationships across all departments to achieve business goals.

Support and train team members, identifying development needs and fostering engagement.

Ensure effective communication between day and evening shifts.

What we are looking for Proven experience in shift or production management within a manufacturing environment.

Strong background in production planning, H&S, and people management.

Experience with timber frame, woodwork, modular building, or automated machinery is a distinct advantage.

Ability to read and interpret architectural or engineering drawings.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
