Procurement Coordinator A well-established construction contractor in Cork is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator for a permanent position. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination and procurement of construction materials across multiple live and upcoming projects, working closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site teams to ensure efficient and compliant material sourcing and delivery. This role suits a detail-oriented procurement coordinator with a strong understanding of construction supply chains and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines. Role : Coordinate material procurement across multiple construction projects. Liaise with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and lead times. Work with site teams to forecast needs and schedule deliveries. Track stock levels and assist with inventory checks. Ensure all necessary material documentation and certification (e.g., DOPs) are obtained to comply with BCAR and other relevant standards. Maintain up-to-date records of procurement activity, pricing trends, delivery schedules, and supplier performance. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and material costs. Support junior procurement staff where required. Requirements : 2+ years experience in a procurement, buyer, or materials coordination role within construction or building materials supply in Ireland. Experience working with a main contractor, developer, or builders merchant is highly desirable. Strong working knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and logistics. Familiarity with BCAR and regulatory compliance for construction products. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative mindset. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with procurement or ERP software is a plus. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Full clean driving licence. Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
