My client, a long-established and reputable accountancy practice with offices in Tralee and Castleisland, is currently seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities Accounts Preparation : Prepare financial statements for a wide range of clients including SMEs, sole traders, and partnerships, ensuring compliance with Irish accounting standards. Tax Compliance & Advisory : Manage and review VAT, PAYE, RCT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns. Provide timely and practical tax planning advice to clients. Client Relationship Management : Serve as a trusted advisor and main point of contact for clients, ensuring their compliance and financial reporting obligations are met. Revenue Engagement : Handle queries and correspondence with Revenue, assist in audits, and ensure accurate and timely filing of all returns. Process Optimisation : Identify and implement improvements in accounting and tax workflows to enhance overall practice efficiency. Candidate Profile Professional Qualifications : Fully qualified ACA or ACCA. Experience : Minimum of 3 years in a practice environment with hands-on experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance. Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of Irish tax laws and accounting standards. Tech Skills : Proficient in accounting packages such as Surf Accounts, Sage, Xero, or similar.
