Senior Structural Maritime Engineer

Overview

Exceptional Senior Maritime Engineer required to join RINA's Energy capability in Ireland.

Your role will be to review and evaluate the design and build of a new and complex jetty / pier, which will be the integral asset for a new downstream energy supply.

This role will be based in Cork, Ireland.

2 year Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review of jetty / pier design;
• Evaluate structural integrity of the design, including materials selection;
• Identify and troubleshoot issues; make recommendations to enhance asset integrity and reliability;
• Engage with third party stakeholders, including port authorities and local towage service providers;

Work with internal cross-functional teams, including Marine Engineers, consultants and PMO.

Report findings to the client, with support from the PMO.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Between 7-15 years' Structural Maritime Engineering experience in settings such as jetties / piers, dockyards / shipyards or offshore platforms.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
