About Your New Job Production Scheduling : Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules for all 8 packing lines, balancing competing priorities and ensuring on-time fulfillment of orders. Ensure sequencing between cutting and packing is optimized. Creation / Implementation of Master Production Schedule (MPS) : Based on demand forecasts and sales orders. Communication & Collaboration : Ensure demand planner / sales is aware of shortages and overs so the customer can be made aware. Communicate plans to production manager, butchers, and packaging lines by a set time for the following day's production. Review plans with the production manager to ensure schedules are suitable, review raw materials with production manager and procurement. Coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are in place to meet plans. Proactively liaise with dispatch to ensure they have the correct volume on time. Efficiency and Optimisation : Continuously monitor production performance against the plan. Identify opportunities to improve line efficiency, reduce changeover times, minimize waste, and enhance overall productivity. Capacity Planning : Analyze production capacity, including machine availability and labor resources, to create realistic and efficient plans. Proactively identify potential bottlenecks and collaborate with the production team to find solutions. Reporting : Report on the status of scheduled production using KPIs. Ensure we have a positive OTIF (on time in full) KPI. What Skills You Need 7+ years of experience in a production planning or scheduling role, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proven experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is essential, with a strong understanding of the demands of retail supply chains. Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas). Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. A logical, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset. Desirable Skills Experience in the food manufacturing or fresh produce industry is highly advantageous. A third-level degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
