Key Responsibilities :
Business Partnering
Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to deliver financial insights and analysis.
Provide financial support to drive divisional performance.
Present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Lead and support ad hoc projects and business initiatives.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts with accurate variance analysis.
Produce key reconciliations and financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and external audit requirements.
Enhance and standardise internal financial reporting processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the annual budget and periodic forecasting cycles.
Assist in long-term financial planning and business modelling.
Provide data-driven input for strategic and commercial planning.
Cash & Working Capital Management
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
Analyse working capital components (inventory, debtors, creditors).
Manage banking relationships and day-to-day financial transactions.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements.
Contribute to the external audit process and internal controls reviews.
Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, systems, and reporting tools.
Participate in various finance and business improvement projects.
The Person
Qualifications & Experience
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience.
Previous experience in a commercial, distribution, or services-focused organisation preferred.
Strong Excel proficiency; ERP or financial systems experience is a plus.

Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
Analytical with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage competing priorities.
