Head of Finance

Will you consider a contract role whilst you look for the right permanent position ? This leading Irish organisation with a national remit require an experienced Head of Finance / Financial Controller to join their Head Office finance team 6-month fixed-term contract to start immediately, which might open the door to other opportunities in the organisation Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the management and financial accounting activities of the Head Office company, as well as consolidated accounts and statutory financial reporting activities for the group, along with the external and internal audits. You will also manage a team of 6-8 experienced Accountants Key Tasks will include : Preparation of reports and forecasts for the Board, senior management team and external stakeholders Preparation and review of consolidated accounts Reporting on performance against the annual budget Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts Preparation of 5 year business plans Review and analysis of monthly management accounts Review of cash flow analysis Co-ordination and completion of year-end statutory financial statements and returns under FRS102 Staff management Ideally, you will be a Senior Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 10 years + pqe and proven leadership experience, who has group accounting / consolidation and FRS 102 experience and has prepared financial statements. You will also have good exposure to budgets, forecasts and strategic planning, along with excellent interpersonal / stakeholder management skills.
