Role overview The Payroll Manager plays a strategic role at Planet, bridging HR and Finance.

This position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process across all entities, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and compliance.

The role includes managing payroll postings, handling exceptional items, and supporting audit and reporting processes.

This role is key in ensuring that payroll operations run smoothly, reliably, and in alignment with both local and global requirements.

What you will do Support the Finance Director in all payroll accounting-related mattersManage daily and monthly payroll tasks, including journal reviews, postings, and reconciliationsServe as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries across the businessMaintain personnel cost centre data and ensure timely updatesEnsure the accuracy of payroll postings, including the review of exceptionsDrive the month-end close process with timely, accurate journal entries and financial statementsLiaise with Poland HR Operations and the global payroll provider on process and issue resolutionEnsure compliance with internal controls and support audit requirementsProvide assistance on ongoing projects and respond to ad hoc requestsWho you are Proficiency in payroll and finance systems (experience with Workday is desirable)Strong documentation and attention to detailSolid understanding of payroll and accounting processesExcellent planning, organisational, and risk assessment skillsProven ability to resolve issues and propose process improvementsStrong analytical and abstract reasoning capabilitiesEffective decision-making and communication skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and work independently with minimal supervisionExperience collaborating with finance and HR teams in a global organisationWhy Planet : Planet is an equal opportunity employer where diversity is valued, and all employment is decided based on qualifications, merit, and business need.
