Environmental Officer Location : Waterford / Kilkenny Monday - Friday Permanent Role Salary : Up to €50,000 + Company Vehicle + Fuel Card An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Officer to join our client, a leading family-run agricultural enterprise specialising in pig farming and sustainable livestock production, in the search for a strong Environmental Officer to join their team. Benefits & Package Company Pension Company Vehicle Fuel Card Hybrid Options : Available After Probation Excellent Career Progression Opportunities Essential Qualifications / Skills Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Animal Science, Natural Resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Strong understanding of environmental regulations, including EPA, Department of Agriculture (DAFM), Local Council requirements, and Nitrates Directive Experience with nutrient management planning and slurry handling in line with regulatory standards Excellent organisational skills with attention to accurate record-keeping and reporting Effective communicator capable of working with farm teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies Responsibilities Ensure all farm operations comply with EPA licenses, DAFM regulations, local environmental requirements, and Nitrates Directive standards Manage and document slurry storage, land application, and nutrient management plans Monitor water usage, air quality, and waste management to maintain environmental compliance Provide environmental guidance and training to staff and contractors Implement sustainability initiatives and continuously improve farm environmental practices Apply now to be considered for this role.
