Quality Engineering Manager

The Quality Engineering Manager role offers responsibility for leading quality activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position manages a small team and is accountable for maintaining standards, driving improvements, and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and develop the Quality function, including direct reports.

Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).

Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective / preventive actions.

Lead internal and external audits (ISO, ATEX, customers, notified bodies).

Drive product and process quality improvements using proven tools.

Conduct inspections of materials and products, preparing detailed reports.

Collaborate with Production and Engineering to implement robust quality measures.

Requirements :

Degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in Engineering or related technical field.

Minimum 3 years in a senior Quality role within manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO9001 : 2015, ISO17025, ISO14001, ATEX).

Experience leading audits; Lead Auditor and Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
