Junior mechanical engineer

Company Overview : A well-established engineering firm in Galway is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview : The Junior Mechanical Engineer will support the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems, assisting senior engineers and contributing to projects from concept through to completion.

Role & Responsibilities : Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems.

Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Auto CAD).

Support project planning, analysis, and reporting.

Conduct basic calculations and simulations to ensure design feasibility and compliance with standards.

Participate in site visits and inspections as required.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Maintain accurate records of designs, changes, and test results.

Requirements : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Practical experience through internships, placements, or projects is advantageous.

Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Works, Auto CAD, or similar).

Basic understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of ISO standards and health & safety regulations is a plus.
