Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair : Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial laundry equipment (e.g., washing machines, dryers, steamers, ironing systems) to ensure operational efficiency.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics : Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues within laundry machinery.
Use diagnostic tools to assess equipment performance and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Routine Inspections : Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to ensure all machines are functioning properly and safely.
Record and report any findings that require attention.
Parts Inventory & Ordering : Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring that all necessary components are readily available.
Order parts as needed and coordinate with vendors for replacement.
Safety Compliance : Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards and legal regulations.
Keep work area clean, orderly, and free of hazards.
Record Keeping : Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
Provide detailed reports of work completed and equipment condition to the supervisor.
Customer Service & Collaboration : Work closely with laundry operators and other staff to ensure minimal disruption to laundry operations.
Provide training or guidance as needed on equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
Key Skills & Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electrical or mechanical fields preferred.
Experience : 2-3 years of experience in the maintenance or repair of a related technical field.
Problem-Solving : Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and vendors effectively.
Working Conditions Full-time, on-site role, may include evening or weekend shifts.
Work environment involves exposure to noise, heat, and potentially hazardous materials (e.g., cleaning chemicals).
