Speech and Language Therapist Acute The Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with communication and / or swallowing difficulties. The SLT will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across acute, outpatient, and community settings. Responsibilities of Speech and Language Therapist Acute Assess, diagnose, and treat adults and / or children presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised treatment plans based on evidence-based practice. Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to ensure integrated care. Provide education, support, and advice to patients, families, and carers. Contribute to service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives within the department. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards. Participate in clinical supervision, professional development, and peer support activities. Provide training and education to healthcare colleagues and students where appropriate. Responsibilities of Speech and Language Therapist Acute A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy. Registration (or eligibility for registration) with CORU, the Health and Social Care Professionals Council. Proven knowledge of current evidence-based practice in speech, language, and swallowing management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
