Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative

Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative Based in Dublin Port, D1. (Docklands) Day shift is (5am - 5pm) €13.50 per hour Night shift is (5pm - 5am) €15 per hour O / T shifts are available and paid at a higher rate. Own transport is preferred as shifts may begin outside of the hours of public transport. MUST have a PPT and Counterbalance License. Roster changes between days and nights so you MUST to able to work both days and nights. (NOT one or the other) It's a 3 day on, 3 day off roster which means you will be required to work for 3 days at a time (3 days on, then 3 days off, then 3 days back on, then 3 days back off and so on). Each block of 3 days will be the same shift i.e 3 days on the day shift, then 3 days off, then 3 days on the night shift, then 3 days off. Working week is from Monday to Sunday. Paid the following Friday. Duties include : A warehouse operative's duties involve working in one of the warehouses based in Dublin Port. During the course of the day a warehouse operative would assist in the unloading & reloading of containers and trailers. This includes both full & partial loads using a counterbalance forklift & RPPT. Warehouse operatives are also responsible for recording details of trucks, trailers and tasks done etc. These warehouses operate on a 24 / 7 basis although not always busy other duties will be carried out during off peak times. These warehouses operate to an extremely high level when it comes to Health & Safety standards, due to this a high level of comprehension of the English language is essential (both written & spoken) to ensure all staff understand SOP's and Risk assessments. Full uniform will be provided as a successful candidate will work in a front facing role alongside our customers, because of this it is expected that all employee's conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
