Managing Director | Coopman Search & Selection | Recruiting for Senior Finance, Accounting & Interim Management Professionals

A leading insurance company is looking to hire its CEO for Ireland.

The role will report to the board and will act as PCF 1 for the Insurance entity.

The successful individual will be required to meet the relevant legal and regulatory obligations as set out under CBI Rules and within the Business Plan, and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Dublin office.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as designated person and carrying out the duties and obligations per managerial function as described in the Business Plan and required under CBI Rules

Responsible for the production of periodic reporting to the Board as required per managerial function

Review monthly reporting from the fund delegates as required under the Business Plan and investigate matters as they arise

Monitor the performance of the service providers in line with the SLAs in place

Escalate any material issues to the Board and assist in the resolution of such issues

Review and update the Business Plan and relevant policies and procedures as required, to reflect the activities of the company to meet ongoing regulatory requirements

Respond to CBI and or other regulatory enquiries or requests for information as they are received

Ongoing monitoring of regulatory developments and ensuring regulatory change is adopted into business practice

Manage and oversee staff in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures, regulatory parameters and best practice

Core Competencies

10+ years' experience in the insurance sector

Be able to consult and liaise on management company matters with all levels of staff and be capable of effective communication with external organisations and service providers

Preferably, experience of the management company business and may have performed a designated person role at another company.

Knowledge of the CBI requirements in relation to fund management companies

Strong technical and analytical skills
