Company Overview : Our client, a leading Irish manufacturer of high-performance architectural building components, is seeking an Estimator to join their innovative and collaborative engineering team.
Based in North Dublin, this is a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator with reinforced concrete and faade design experience to join a growing company.
They have an unrivalled depth of experience in delivering projects of architectural significance, which brings to life the architectural vision together with projects of high production and erection demand profiles.
Responsibilities : Thorough measurement of faades and panelisation of schemes.
Thorough review of tender documents, drawings, specifications.
Ensure comprehensive record keeping is maintained.
Pre-, Mid- & Post-Tender meetings.
Cost advice to Architects, PQS, Developers and Main Contractors.
Dealing with clients Pre-& Post Sales.
Compiling estimates, budgets and cost plans.
Assessing material, labour and equipment costs.
Analysing different quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
Ability to identify risks and opportunities.
Preparation of documentation.
Compiling Quality Tender Submissions.
Ability to utilise 3 D models, IT equipment, drawings and specifications.
Open to exploring the use of different construction technologies in the industry.
Requirements : 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction Economics Degree / Diploma desirable, others will be considered.
A Sub-Contracting, Technical, Architectural or Engineering background desirable.
Minimum of 4 years experience with a sub-contractor, contractor or PQS practice.
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Can prioritise and plan effectively with good time management skills.
