Network Engineer

Job Description : Our client in the telecommunications sector is seeking a Network Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a permanent role based in Dublin with on-call rotation included. Job Responsibilities : Configure and maintain switches, routers, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues. Implement security measures and maintain compliance. Support network design and capacity planning. Provide 2nd / 3rd line network support to users and projects. Experience Required : 4+ years experience in networking roles. Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, routing, VLANs, and VPNs. Hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper equipment. Knowledge of firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA). Desirable Skills : CCNA / CCNP certification. Familiarity with SD-WAN and cloud networking. Experience in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios).
