Senior Network Engineer

Our client is looking for a Network & Security or IP routing and switching engineer with CCNP Certified Professional certification and relevant experience, to join a successful Systems Integrator delivering IP Services to many enterprise customers in Ireland. Taking full ownership of projects relating to the design and delivery of our customers core networks and customer-facing networks, this is an excellent time to join a company with great promise. Responsibilities : Design and deliver technical solutions to customers in Cisco and Fortinet networking and security environments Be able to take design plans and implement into the infrastructure according to business and technical requirements. Have a strong technical troubleshooting skill set and be able to research and develop solutions during project delivery Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements. Technically manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline. Coordinate with various stakeholders and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables. Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for all reported incidents. Liaise with manufacturer TAC support teams during customer incidents. Requirements : Experience troubleshooting technical incidents in Cisco and / or Fortinet environments. Cisco ISE, Firepower, Wireless and DNAC experience Cisco Routing and Switching experience Fortinet fortigate, fortiManager, fortianalyzer experience Cisco CCNP and / or Fortinet FCSS qualifications requirement. Previous experience delivering networking and security solutions to customers in Cisco and Fortinet environments Practical experience of common routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and ISIS Familiarity with MPLS technologies (both Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN) Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
