Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join the dynamic therapy team in an acute service based in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLT to work in a progressive acute hospital setting, supporting adults with communication and swallowing needs. Role Overview : The successful candidate will play a key role in providing a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy service to inpatients and outpatients. You will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based interventions and contributing to patient care pathways. Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist : Provide assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults with communication and / or swallowing disorders in an acute hospital setting. Deliver intervention programmes tailored to patients needs and clinical presentations. Contribute actively to multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning. Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students. Participate in service development initiatives within the hospital. Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist : Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy. CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist. Certification and proven competence in the management of dysphagia. Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year at senior level. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. Experience working in an acute hospital setting is highly desirable. Whats on Offer : Competitive HSE pay scales.
