Facilities, Site Services and Packing Manager

Role Overview The Facilities, Site Services and Packing Manager is responsible for the efficient operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of site infrastructure, services, and packing operations within a petfood manufacturing environment. This role ensures all systems support continuous production while complying with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Internal Relationships Group Engineering Manager. Engineering Manager (Site). Senior Site Lead Engineer. General Manager. Electrical and Mechanical maintenance teams. Key External Relationships Create points of contact, meet with and get regular updates from national and local government agencies such as, Longford County Council, Irish Water, EPA, DAFM, DEFRA, NSAI, SEAI, Electricity, Oil and Gas Network providers to ensure all site services are optimal, compliant to the necessary governing regulations and company best practice on standards and value for money. Create points of contact and escalation channels with service and materials providers such as equipment OEM's, Paper / Cardboard and Wrap suppliers and spare part manufacturers. Key Responsibilities Implementing corrective / preventative actions for existing equipment and maintenance processes. Conducting troubleshooting for complex issues with plant equipment issues and associated systems, identifying and recommending corrective actions. Assisting in investigations of utility systems, and control system anomalies as well as safety incidents. Assisting in the design review, site acceptance and installation of equipment. Supervising mechanical, electrical, and automation contractors. Interpreting P&IDs, equipment / system layouts, wiring diagrams and specifications in planning and performing maintenance and repairs. Maintaining company reputation by enforcing compliance with all relevant laws, policies and regulations. Budget and CAPEX management. Designing and specifying cGMP clean / grey utilities, & HVAC equipment, piping, ducting and / or controls. Managing small-to-mid sized projects related to utilities and HVAC equipment and services. Preparing engineering evaluations and test plans for and executing modification change control documentation. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, and regulations. Key Performance Measures Utilities and Packing Equipment Availability targets achieved. Zero factory hard down situations - correct escalation and case management / contingency planning and execution of drop off in site services. Repairs and Maintenance Budget targets achieved. Audit compliance targets, both internal and external, achieved. Sustainability Targets on Co2 and Water achieved. Continuous improvement targets achieved. Personal Competencies and Qualifications Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, solution driven. Process orientated. Exceptional verbal and written communication with various stakeholders. Proficient in use of engineering software. Project management abilities. Proficient in use of the Microsoft 365 suite of applications specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, outlook, Teams and SharePoint. Leadership experience and skills within a multidiscipline engineering team. Display the ability to work within a time pressured environment and manage changing / multiple priorities.
