Dx Command Center Product Manager, Global Diagnostics

Overview

Dx Command Center Product Manager, Global Diagnostics — Zoetis's cloud platform enabling IoT product support capabilities to the Vetscan family of animal diagnostics.

Lead development and execution of the roadmap to support real-time service for a growing install base.

Your leadership will be key in ensuring real-time support for a growing install base of point-of-care diagnostic analyzers, enhancing our service capabilities and customer experience.

Responsibilities

Own the product roadmap, vision, and strategy for assigned products from cradle to grave, including budget guidance.

Incorporate inputs from subject matter experts on a Cross Functional Product Team to define problem statements and prioritize product backlogs; guide the CFPT and sub-teams in product maintenance, performance improvements, and delivering enhancements and innovations that create long-term customer value.

Influence colleagues, stakeholders, and executives using data and logic.

Be attuned to customer needs in veterinary medicine and their experience with our diagnostic products; contribute to sustaining and developing veterinary diagnostic products and features that delight customers and improve animal health.

Define problem statements and product vision + strategy, and maintain product backlog by :

Conducting continuous product discovery through experimentation and customer conversations to inform development decisions; act as a Voice of Customer (VOC) expert

Aligning with Commercial teams on product financial and strategic goals

Knowing the product users and operations and translating into clear product requirements, including understanding veterinary needs and hospital best practices

Monitoring product performance and KPIs

Providing ROI assessments and understanding when to trade off investments between projects and features

Bringing on-the-ground feedback into the backlog with long-term strategy in mind

Prioritizing for continuous improvement

Delivering open items in backlogs with planned release schedules

Lead CFPT and sub-team collaboration by :

Guiding empowerment of CFPTs to make key decisions

Assigning team-level Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

Working with other Zoetis functions including team building, facilitation, feedback, and psychological safety

Identifying and leveraging team members to generate creative solutions to customer problems; driving ongoing innovation

Holding teams accountable for results and fostering ownership

Acting as the VOC

Be internal advocate, product expert, and product evangelist :

Drive product experience for new launches across global markets; support customer, colleague, and company readiness and transfer materials to commercial and medical teams

Communicate with Commercial, Medical, and Support teams on product updates and deployment plans; create training and service materials

Track industry trends and competitive landscape

Operate as product owner in the ZTD software release process

Work with research veterinarians and experts across disciplines

Partner with Zoetis Business Development (BD) and GMS External Supply / Procurement to negotiate agreements if applicable

Experience

5+ years in Product Management, product development, or equivalent with a strong background in support platforms and / or IoT-enabled products; medical device experience is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business (engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing)

Proven ability to engage with SMEs and company leaders constructively

Education

BA / BS in scientific discipline or business

MBA, DVM, PhD or other advanced degree preferred but not required

This position could also require supporting vendor relationships and travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
