What We're Looking for : At Datavant, we value engineers who embrace end-to-end problem solving.

This means not only writing elegant code and robust tests, but also understanding the business context, designing for scalability and maintainability, automating deployments, and planning for smooth operations.

You will focus on building the core frameworks, tools, and front-end infrastructure that power consistent, secure, and delightful user experiences across all Datavant products.

You will play a key role in shaping how our interfaces look, feel, and perform, setting the UX standard across the company.

Our frontend stack is built with Type Script and React, and our backend services are primarily written in Python.

We are looking for engineers who are excited to work across this stack and who care deeply about developer experience, long-term code quality, and delivering thoughtful user experiences.

What You Need to Succeed : 6+ years of experience developing modern, scalable front-end applications using frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular, with strong fundamentals in Java Script / Type Script, HTML, and CSS A passion for crafting intuitive, elegant, and performant user interfaces with an eye for detail and a deep understanding of usability, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design Expertise in building and maintaining design systems or component libraries that are consistent, reusable, and developer-friendly Demonstrated success owning large-scale UI initiatives including greenfield features, complex refactors, or frontend migrations Strong code quality and review skills with a focus on modular, testable, and maintainable code including writing unit and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest, Testing Library, or Cypress Effective collaboration with product designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders contributing to project planning, technical decisions, and iterative UX improvements Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving technologies Genuine excitement about our mission to connect the worlds health data and improve patient outcomes and a desire to make healthcare experiences better through thoughtful front-end engineering The Impact You Will Make : Build and deliver impactful products.
