Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support residents with medication management and adherence to prescribed treatments
- Help residents with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and resident progress
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic living environment for all residents
- Respond promptly and appropriately to resident emergencies and health concerns
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential or community care setting preferred
- Certification or formal training in health and social care is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents and team members
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and assisting with mobility
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals
- Basic knowledge of medication administration and health and safety practices
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' privacy at all times
- Full Clean Drivers Licence
