At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Quality Assurance Manager with experience in children’s residential services to join our client’s growing team based in Carlow. Your new role includes:

• Developing and implementing a robust Quality Assurance and Compliance Framework across our children's residential services.
• Leading a programme of internal audits and quality reviews across residential homes.
• Monitoring compliance with the HIQA National Standards for Children's Residential Centres.
• Monitoring safeguarding, child protection and children's rights practices and auditing children's care plans, risk assessments, placement plans, reviews and key-working records.
• Monitoring incident reporting, safeguarding concerns, complaints and follow-up actions as well as analysing incidents, complaints and audit findings to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitoring staff recruitment, Garda vetting, qualifications, induction, mandatory training, supervision and performance management.

Experience you need:

• Relevant third-level qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Quality Management, Healthcare, Governance or a related discipline.
• Experience working in children's residential services, social care or a similarly regulated environment.
• Good knowledge of HIQA National Standards for Children's Residential Centres.
• Previous experience preparing for or supporting HIQA inspections.
• Experience working within Tusla children's services.
