Quantity Surveyor - Developer

Quantity Surveyor South Dublin A well-established family-run property developer based in South Dublin is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. With an impressive pipeline of both current and upcoming developments, the company has built a strong reputation within the residential sector, with projects primarily located across Dublin and Wicklow. The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of high-end residential developments and will play a key role in managing the commercial function, supporting the continued growth and success of the business. The Role Working closely with Senior Management and project teams, you will take a lead role in the commercial management of key developments. Responsibilities will include: Working closely with the Senior Management team on commercial and strategic matters. Managing the commercial aspects of key residential projects from inception through to completion. Working collaboratively with internal teams and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Identifying commercial and regulatory anomalies and implementing appropriate solutions. Providing guidance and support to the Commercial team on variations, CVRs and other commercial matters. Reviewing, challenging and improving existing commercial processes and procedures. Ensuring all contractual obligations, financial commitments and commercial implications are clearly understood. Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities. Overseeing day-to-day commercial operations across multiple developments. Supporting multiple sites through regular development and site visits. Taking overall responsibility for the contractual, commercial and financial performance of assigned projects. Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and maximise value for money. The Candidate The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in residential construction, main contracting or property development. You will have: A minimum of 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience within a similar sector. Strong experience in contractual, commercial and financial management. Proven experience in commercial reporting and project cost control. Experience working across multiple large-scale residential developments. Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen. A strong problem-solving ability with a proactive and solutions-focused approach. The ability to identify risk, challenge processes and drive commercial improvements. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A proven track record of delivering value for money and achieving efficiency savings. Previous developer experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
