Dromoland Castle Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the team at The Fig Tree Restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality who enjoys working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and is ready to take the next step in their Food & Beverage career. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Management team, the successful candidate will take a hands-on role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, helping to lead and motivate the team while ensuring our guests receive a warm, professional and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Food & Beverage Management team with the smooth day-to-day running of operations.
Take responsibility for designated Food & Beverage areas, including restaurant service and private dining.
Lead from the floor and maintain a visible, hands-on presence throughout service.
Ensure consistently high standards of guest service, presentation and attention to detail.
Assist in leading, motivating and supporting the Food & Beverage team.
Ensure operational procedures and service standards are consistently followed.
Support the training and development of team members on an ongoing basis.
Maintain effective communication with Food & Beverage Management, Department Heads and other Resort departments.
Assist with resolving guest queries promptly and professionally.
Help create a positive, professional and supportive working environment for the team.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous Food & Beverage experience within a 4- or 5-star hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
Previous supervisory or team-lead experience would be an advantage.
A third-level qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or equivalent is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Confident in leading, motivating and supporting a team.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a busy environment and managing competing priorities.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
Flexible regarding working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the business.
