Financial Controller

Your new role Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Finance Manager or Financial Controller to join a growing international business and take ownership of finance operations across multiple European jurisdictions. The role offers a broad remit, combining financial control, team leadership and strategic finance responsibilities while providing valuable exposure to international VAT, compliance and regulatory requirements. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in supporting the business's continued expansion across Europe. Key responsibilities include: Managing financial reporting and controls across multiple European entities Overseeing multi-jurisdictional VAT, tax and compliance requirements Partnering with local advisers across Europe to ensure regulatory compliance Leading and developing an established finance team Managing treasury and cash flow forecasting activities Driving process improvement and enhancing financial controls Supporting the CFO with strategic planning and business growth initiatives This role would particularly suit someone looking to broaden their international experience and gain exposure to complex European finance operations in a growing organisation. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Group Finance role within a fast-paced environment. You will have strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills, alongside experience managing teams and working with senior stakeholders. Crucially, you will have exposure to multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional finance environments and a solid understanding of European VAT and compliance requirements, either through direct hands-on experience or by managing relationships with external advisors. Candidates who enjoy working across international operations and navigating complex regulatory environments will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
