Electrical Estimator - Transmission & Distribution

Electrical Estimator Location: Cork, Ireland About the Role We are seeking an ambitious Electrical Estimator to join a growing team delivering projects across the Transmission & Distribution sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced engineering environment, working on large-scale electrical infrastructure projects and supporting the full tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission. The successful candidate will work closely with bid management and engineering teams, contributing to the successful delivery of competitive and accurate tenders across HV, MV, and LV electrical projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates for Transmission & Distribution projects. Manage tender submissions from initial enquiry through to completion. Review and assess HV, MV, and LV electrical tender packages. Complete quantity take-offs from drawings and technical documentation. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Ensure quotations and proposals comply with project specifications and client requirements. Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the tender process. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings where required. Utilise estimating software and Microsoft Office applications to prepare accurate tender documentation. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a trade background with experience in Transmission & Distribution projects will also be considered. Experience within the construction, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail. Good organisational and planning abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
