Finance Systems Specialist

Client Details Our client is a globally recognised retail organisation operating across multiple international markets, with a strong reputation for innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As part of an ongoing investment in finance systems and digital transformation, they are seeking a Finance Systems Specialist to join their Dublin-based team. Description This isn't a traditional finance role and it isn't a pure SAP position. We're looking for a naturally curious problem-solver who enjoys understanding how financial transactions move through systems, investigating issues, and improving processes within a complex international business. In this role you will: Support and investigate financial and operational processes across multiple systems. Analyse transaction flows, identify root causes of issues, and work with stakeholders to coordinate solutions. Monitor data quality, controls, and process integrity across key business activities. Support users with system-related queries and process improvements. Participate in ERP enhancement and transformation initiatives, including upcoming SAP S/4HANA and Workday programmes. Assist with testing, process documentation, and continuous improvement projects. Work closely with Finance, Operations, IT and international stakeholders to improve system effectiveness and business outcomes. Support reporting, reconciliations, and data-driven decision making. Profile The successful applicant will have experience supporting and optimising finance or ERP systems within a commercial environment, with a strong understanding of SAP and business process improvement. They will be a proactive problem-solver who can confidently work with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver effective system solutions. Key requirements include: Experience supporting financial systems or ERP platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience investigating system or process-related issues. Exposure to financial transactions, reporting, reconciliations, or process controls. Experience gathering requirements, supporting UAT, or driving process improvements. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
