Job description

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates across hospitals nursing homes home care and community care services.

We are currently recruiting a Respiratory Physiologist for a hospital in Cork Ireland.

6-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of respiratory and pulmonary function tests in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Conduct respiratory assessments and physiological measurements ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Prepare patients for respiratory investigations and explain procedures clearly to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns or changes in their condition.
  • Analyse and interpret respiratory test results and prepare accurate clinical reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.


Requirements

  • Hold a Physiologist/Clinical Measurement degree or equivalent recognised by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS); or
  • Hold the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology or an equivalent qualification confirmed by IICMS.
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as a Respiratory Technician/Respiratory Physiologist in an acute hospital setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong awareness of and sensitivity to patient needs.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues both within and outside the organisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
