Senior Steel Detailer

About the Role A leading engineering firm specializing in high-quality structural steel design, fabrication, and erection across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer to join the team in County Westmeath. You will play a key role in creating precise 3D models, fabrication drawings, and erection schemes for complex steel projects, working closely with design, fabrication, and project management teams. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures or AutoCAD. Generate material takeoff lists, bolt lists, and CNC files for shop fabrication. Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and site managers to resolve design queries. Ensure all drawings comply with Irish/EU building regulations and industry standards. Conduct site visits across Ireland when necessary to verify dimensions and progress. Requirements 3+ years of experience in structural steel detailing. Proficiency in Tekla Structures (preferred) or AutoCAD 3D. Deep understanding of structural steel connections, fabrication processes, and erection methods. Knowledge of Irish building standards and Eurocodes. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight project deadlines. Valid work authorization for Ireland.
