About the role:

Do you have a strong interest in technology and a drive for development and continuous improvement? Then this could be the position for you! Britvic Ireland is now offering a role as Line Technical Lead within our production operations. The role of Line Technical Lead involves varied and rewarding tasks, such as driving problem-solving initiatives to boost operational efficiency, with a focus on technical performance and the management of technical equipment. As a Line Technical Lead, you will join a team dedicated to delivering and developing towards a world-class maintenance operation. In this role, you will drive the development of preventive maintenance, analyze and track losses, and implement technical improvements within your area of responsibility. You will also participate in capital investment projects, focusing on safeguarding maintenance interests and ensuring the right conditions for high operational reliability in new equipment.

This role will be a days position - 07:00-15:15 Mon-Thursday & 07:00 -14:15 on a Friday

What you’ll be doing:

• Act as the technical expert for packaging equipment and provide leadership during maintenance and overhauls.
• Develop, review, and continuously improve maintenance standards and plans in partnership with the Process Engineer.
• Create, manage, and validate preventive maintenance programs.
• Take ownership of maintenance costs and equipment performance, driving reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the production line(s).
• Coordinate maintenance activities, including Cleaning, Inspection and Lubrication standards (CILs), planned maintenance service windows, and major overhauls, from planning through to completion and validation.
• Train operators and technicians on maintenance activities, CILs, and troubleshooting and coach operators to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Oversee external contractors to ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are met.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts availability, and work order execution.
• Monitor and analyse maintenance KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to capital investment projects (CapEx), new product development implementation (NDP), and continuous improvement projects within the area.
• Lead risk assessments, LOTO compliance, and safe working practices.

What we’re looking for:

• You have a background in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (3–5 years) in a similar role within a production environment.
• We are looking for someone with experience applying Lean methodology and possessing basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, measurement technology, and electrical/automation systems.
• You are proficient with computers and the Microsoft Office suite. Experience working with SAP PM is an advantage.

Education/Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering (mechanical/electrical/automation or food technologies) or equivalent experience (3–5 years) in a similar role within a production environment.
