Location: Wicklow, Ireland Salary: €50,000 – €65,000 DOE Full-time or Part-time | Flexible Monday–Friday Rota | 1:4 Saturdays | 1:13 Sundays The Vet Office is recruiting an Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and progressive practice in beautiful County Wicklow. The Role As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will: Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients. Diagnose, investigate and manage a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. Take full responsibility for patient care, ensuring excellent case continuity. Perform consultations, routine surgeries and medical case work-ups. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records. Prescribe and dispense medications appropriately while supporting stock management. Communicate clearly with clients, discussing treatment plans and providing estimates. Promote preventative healthcare and pet wellness plans. Work closely with the veterinary and nursing team to provide outstanding patient care. Support colleagues through knowledge sharing and clinical guidance. Ensure accurate billing and maintain high clinical standards. About You We are looking for someone who has: MVB, DVM or an equivalent Veterinary Degree. Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI). At least 3 years' experience in small animal practice. Confidence in consultations, routine surgery and case management. A particular interest in surgery would be highly desirable. Excellent communication and client care skills. A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous professional development. The ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.
