Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Cork, Ireland

Location: Cork, Ireland Salary: €65,000 – €75,000 DOE + Performance Bonus + Relocation Support Full-time The Vet Office is recruiting a Lead Veterinary Surgeon for a modern, well-established small animal practice in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon ready to step into a leadership role while continuing to develop clinically within a supportive and progressive environment. You'll lead a dedicated veterinary team, drive high clinical standards, and play a key role in the continued success and growth of the practice. The Role As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will: Lead, mentor and inspire the veterinary team. Foster a positive, collaborative and supportive working culture. Deliver exceptional standards of patient and client care. Maintain clinical excellence and ensure best practice standards. Work closely with the Head Veterinary Nurse to ensure outstanding patient outcomes. Support the operational and financial performance of the practice. Monitor KPIs and contribute to the growth of the clinic. Promote preventative healthcare and client education. Ensure compliance with Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) regulations. About You We are looking for someone who has: MVB, DVM or an equivalent Veterinary Degree. Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI). At least 3 years' experience in small animal practice. Strong clinical and surgical skills. Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities. A passion for mentoring and developing veterinary professionals. Previous leadership experience is advantageous but not essential. Commercial awareness and an interest in practice performance.
