Senior Manufacturing Engineer

CareerWise Recruitmentis seeking aSenior Manufacturing Engineerto join a leading multinational company based inCork. This is a12-month contract roleoffering ahighly competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will act as aSubject Matter Expert (SME)in atechnical, engineering, automation, or business processarea. In this role, you will collaborate closely with thesite management teamtodevelop and implement the sites future-state strategy, driving innovation and operational excellence. THE ROLE: * Contribute and input into Engineering functional strategy * Champion operations excellence across the site. * Plans and conducts engineering research design * Plans and conducts significant engineering and lean initiatives * Standardises and optimises best practices and procedures across sites *Co-ordinates with other units vendors and senior managers as needed to ensure specific cost, time and regulatory standards are met. * Communicates with business partners to resolve process and product issues. * Evaluates the results of projects and provides manufacturing guidance and assistance as required REQUIREMENTS: * Degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production etc.) or technical experience equivalency. * Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience * CNC experience advantageous * Recognised Lean qualification * Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of business critical projects.
