Financial Controller

Financial Controller Location: Dublin (Hybrid) Salary: Competitive, DOE Hours: Full-Time, 35-hour week An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well-established national not-for-profit organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead the finance function, oversee financial reporting and controls, and play a key role in supporting the organisation's strategic growth and development. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while managing and developing a finance team in a purpose-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day financial operations and oversee the finance team. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Manage budgeting, forecasting, cashflow planning, and financial analysis. Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate annual audits. Ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements. Oversee multiple funding streams, grants, and stakeholder reporting obligations. Maintain strong financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks. Support senior management with financial insights and strategic decision-making. Drive continuous improvement, process enhancements, and finance transformation projects. Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and governance committees. About You Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or senior finance leadership role. Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise. Experience managing audits, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and people management experience. Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge. Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
