Foster Care Ireland is an Irish owned fostering agency in Santry, Dublin. We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an additional Professionally Qualified Social Worker to our Fostering Team. We would like to fill the position on or before 1st December 2021. Like many organisations we have adapted to home working. While working remotely is a necessity in today’s Covid-19 conditions we are open to considering future working arrangements that deliver shared benefits.
We at FCI are committed to securing the best outcomes for the children placed with us and we invest in and support our foster carers accordingly. This is a full time position for a committed team player with the flexibility to constructively engage with the challenges and work towards sustainable outcomes.
We recognise the value of informed therapeutic practices such as DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) which we are actively adopting in support of our foster carers. Our attitude of acceptance, curiosity and empathy helps us to understand how trauma and attachment difficulties are communicated in the daily lives of our foster families. We encourage regulation and reflection to discover the meaning behind presenting behaviour.
The salary and benefit package will be commensurate with experience.
AdvertisementApplicants should have qualifications in social work, experience in delivering services in the areas of fostering, child protection and/or children in care. You will need to show evidence of a clean driving record and have the use of private transport to service your caseload.
